Zafka
Sub label of Post Concrete, Archival Vinyl, published a work of Zafka. This work is phonographic research of Beijing. Worth to check out. Here is his statement of the work: “雍◎和”——魔幻大街 文 / Zafka 張安定 2006年末，我從廣州移居北京。我曾說，城市聲響（urban soundscape）已經是城市正義與否的標注。我還惦記著廣州的“不干淨”—— 過去二十多年民間資本和移民的主導下，廣州城市空間斑斕無序，聲響紛繁蕪雜，沒有城市規劃理性主義的政治潔淨幻想。 相比廣州，北京要“干淨”得多——馬路寬廣筆直，全球同質的交通聲響干淨有力，無處不在。這個古老的都城，城市空間布局和聲響環境從來都是政治秩序最現實和直接的投影。這個傳統延續到現在，但政治合流資本已經是城市變遷的主導力量，加速將北京的城市發展引向“斷裂”——社會整體規劃與文化保存，個體物質生存發展與心理情感沉澱之間的斷裂。 我挑選了雍和宮——一個我過去多年造訪北京最多的區域，試圖聆聽並找尋這種斷裂的細微之處。雍和宮位於北京二環東北角，附近有國子監，孔廟，以及眾多老北京胡同。這個區域不僅是北京傳統城市聲響的積澱之地，所處位置更是寸土寸金。過去兩年，為了迎接奧運，也為了發展經濟，雍和宮附近胡同已經陸續拆遷和改建。 … Continue reading
